Harrogate, TN -- The Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team is set to return to the court on Tuesday, September 8 at 6 PM, hosting the Mars Hill Lions inside Mary Mars Gymnasium. The Railsplitters are eager to bounce back following a hard-fought, five-set battle in their home and conference opener against Tusculum on September 5. Entering the match up with four matches under their belt, Lincoln Memorial will look to protect its home floor and establish momentum early in the South Atlantic Conference campaign.
On the attacking side, the Railsplitters have displayed a balanced offensive output through their first four games. Kaytlin Johnson powers the attack, leading the squad with 46.5 total points, 2.91 points per set, and 43 kills. Jazmine Starks provides strong firepower at the net with 37.5 points, 2.34 points per set, a team-leading 15.0 blocks-per-game, and 29 kills, while Laney Inman has added 29.5 points and 26 kills. Georgia Dobson has posted 28.5 points and 21 kills with a team-best .422 hitting percentage, while Finley Sparks and Aaliyah Rodgers have added 31 and 20 points respectively. Sparks matches Inman's kill output with 26 of her own. Lauren Pickett and Jana Petkovic orchestrate the offense, facilitating 67 and 61 assists respectively. Lauren Jacob anchors the defense with 64 total digs and an impressive average of 4.0 digs per set.
