2013-14: All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team selection... started all 31 games while leading the team in minutes played, averaging 31.7 minutes per game... finished second in the SAC and led the team with 135 assists... ranked third on the team with 309 points [10.0 per game] while collecting 82 rebounds on the season... recorded his first career double-double with 10 points and a career high 10 assists vs Newberry (2/08/14)... scored in double figures 20 times while handing out six or more assists on eight separate occasions.
2012-13: Lorenza Ross was a All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team selection in 2012-13 after appearing in 29 games and starting 27 of those contests. In his second year at LMU, Ross averaged 10.2 points per game, setting a new career high with a 20-point performance against UNC-Pembroke in the NCAA Tournament. Ross hit three game winners on the season, including the game-winning basket with four seconds left against Pembroke to send LMU to the regional semifinals. He led the team in assists with 86, and recorded a career best six assists on three different occasions. He pulled down a career high eight rebounds against conference foe Catawba on March 2, 2013.
2011-12: Lorenza Ross was named to the South Atlantic Conference All-Freshman Team at the conclusion of the 2011-12 season after appearing in 29 games and starting in four of those contests. In his first year at LMU, Ross tallied 4.7 points per game with his best performance of the season coming in the first round of the South Atlantic Conference Tournament, where he recorded a career-high 15 points against Tusculum College. Ross came on strong in the latter of the season, averaging well over 20 minutes per game in the final four contests. He contributed 13 points in the opening round of the Southeast Region Tournament to play a significant role in giving LMU their first NCAA Tournament win in school history. Ross added a 14-point performance in the Railsplitters’ win over regional powerhouse Augusta State on December 19th. He dished out a career-high five assists in the Railsplitters’ triumph over Catawba College on December 3rd. His best rebound total came in that same game as he pulled in four boards against the Indians.
Prep: In Ross’ final season at Richmond Hill High School, he was crowned with Region Player of the Year and named to the Georgia All-State Team after leading his team to a Region Championship. That season, Lorenza tallied 12.8 points per contest and led the team in assists at 4.4 per game. Ross paired those numbers with 1.9 steals per game to bolster his resume. At the conclusion of his career at Richmond Hill, Ross was a two-time All-Region AAA First Team selection and a two-time Georgia AAA All-State selection.
