Colby joined the staff in October of 2016. He is a native of nearby Maynardville, TN, where he graduated from Union County High School in 2011.
Edds played baseball at Jackson State (TN) Community College where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Economics. During his time there he spent the summer of 2013 as an assistant grounds keeper for the Jackson Generals (AA Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners).
He then transferred to Milligan College to finish out his baseball playing career and undergraduate studies. Colby graduated from Milligan with Cum Laude honors in 2015 with a B.S. in Business Administration and emphasis in Sports Management, with a minor in Coaching.
Immediately after graduating, Edds took a front office internship with the Johnson City Cardinals (Rookie Level Affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals) where he spent the summer of 2015. This internship led him into his last full time position as General Manager of NET Elite Baseball in Kingsport, TN. He spent a year with the company who runs and operates Perfect Game sanctioned tournaments and showcases at various colleges and professional stadiums throughout the Southeast. While there he not only directed tournaments, but was also in charge of helping the NET Elite grow in marketing, online and on-site merchandise sales as well as all of the company’s various social media outlets.
Edds is currently pursuing a MBA, concentrating in Sports Management from LMU.
