Brian Hogg

Brian Hogg enters his third season as Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Lincoln Memorial University for the 2025–2026 season.

Since being named head coach on January 5, 2024, Hogg has led the Railsplitters to continued national prominence with an impressive 45-6 record, defeating four ranked opponents along the way. His teams earned the program’s sixth and seventh straight IVA Tournament Championships and posted the best season in program history in 2025: a school-record 24 wins, a program-low one loss, and the nation’s highest winning percentage at .960. That same year, an LMU player led the nation in attack percentage. The team achieved its highest national rankings in back-to-back years—#19 in 2024 and #16 in 2025.

Hogg’s leadership has also produced individual accolades, including three AVCA All-America Team selections, three IVA All-Tournament Team honorees, two IVA Tournament MVPs, three IVA Defensive Players of the Week, two IVA Offensive Players of the Week, six IVA All-Conference selections, and one IVA Coach of the Year award.

Prior to becoming head coach, Hogg was the assistant coach for the LMU men’s volleyball team. Since joining the program in October 2022, Hogg has played a pivotal role in LMU's success. During his time as assistant coach, he was responsible for developing practice plans and training sessions, preparing detailed scouting reports, and managing various administrative duties such as itineraries and travel. In his first season, the team achieved a historic 22-4 record and secured a fifth consecutive conference championship while maintaining the NCAA Men's Volleyball’s longest active home winning streak at 28 consecutive matches.

Hogg comes to Harrogate from Bowling Green, Ky., where he previously served as a volunteer assistant coach for the nationally ranked Western Kentucky women’s volleyball team. A Nashville, Tenn., native, he also coached boys club volleyball after competing for three years as a setter and captain on the collegiate team at Cumberland University.

His coaching journey includes significant club success as Head Coach and Director at C2 Attack Volleyball Club. There, he led the 16 Boys Smack team to a 72-2 record, a #1 national ranking, and the 2022 Boys Junior National Championship. In 2023, his 17 Boys team earned a Bronze Medal at the Boys Junior National Championships.

Beyond his work on the sidelines, Hogg serves as an SRVA High Performance Evaluator/Program Coach, identifying and coaching elite talent for the USA High Performance Championships. His achievements have been recognized with multiple honors, including the 2022 AVCA Diversity Award, the 2023 USAV National Boys Indoor Coach of the Year, and induction into the USA Volleyball Hall of Fame in April 2023.

Academically, Hogg graduated from Cumberland with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting after graduating from Hume-Fogg Academic Magnet High School in 2017.
