Emilee Solomon

Emilee Solomon joins the Lincoln Memorial University softball coaching staff as a graduate assistant after completing her playing career with the Lady Railsplitters at the end of the 2015 seasons.

A native of Knoxville, Tenn. and a graduate of Gibbs High School, Solomon joined the Lady Railsplitters in 2013 following a two-year stint at Walters State Community College. Solomon started in the outfield for all 91 games during her two years with the Lady Railsplitters, compiling a .310 batting average, 96 hits, 23 doubles, two home runs and 33 runs batted in over that span. She drew 28 walks with only 21 strikeouts in 455 career at-bats, all while going a perfect 24-for-24 on stolen base attempts.

Solomon hit .315 during her tenure at Walters State, racking up 45 hits in 59 appearances. She didn't strike out a single time in 90 official at-bats during her freshman season.

The Lady Railsplitters went a combined 50-41 with Solomon in the lineup. Lincoln Memorial made it to the semifinals of the South Atlantic Conference Championship last season, the program's deepest postseason run since 2011.

Solomon will be primarily responsible for working with the hitters and coaching outfield defense.
