Todd Merlotti was promoted to the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in December 2021 following the time he served as a graduate assistant for athletic communications at Lincoln Memorial University. He received his bachelor’s degree in strategic communication from the Missouri School of Journalism.
Merlotti began his athletic communications and administration career following his graduation from Parkway South High School in St. Louis, Missouri. In his time as an undergraduate, Merlotti worked for the Mizzou Athletics strategic communications department and served as the primary intern for the men’s basketball team during his junior and senior years. Additionally, he worked for the St. Louis Cardinals as a publications intern and was a media assistant at the 2019 and 2020 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournaments.
Merlotti earned his master’s degree in business administration with a focus in sports management in May 2022. He serves as the primary athletic communications contact for the softball, men’s and women’s golf, women's soccer, and men’s and women’s bowling programs at LMU.
