Brooke Wilkinson 14-15

Brooke Shae Wilkinson

Brooke Wilkinson was named Associate Head Coach in July, 2014. Wilkinson brings a wide array of collegiate coaching experience as well as a familiarity with the South Atlantic Conference to Lincoln Memorial University.

"I am extremely excited to become a part of the Lincoln Memorial University community," Wilkinson said. "I want to thank Athletic Director Roger Vannoy and Head Women's Basketball Coach Krystal Reeves-Evans for this opportunity and the confidence to allow me to step back into college coaching and continue to pursue my dream. I look forward to building a successful program and helping our players strive to become great role models in their future endeavors."

Most recently, Wilkinson served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Gardner-Webb University from 2010-12. In that capacity, she was involved in nearly every aspect of the program including guard development and on-floor coaching, academic advisement, pre-game scouting, management of recruiting travel, budget and database, as well as summer camp coordination. During Wilkinson's tenure with Gardner-Webb, the Runnin' Bulldogs captured the Big South Conference Tournament title and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2011.

Prior to her arrival in Boiling Springs, N.C., Wilkinson served as the assistant coach at Mars Hill University from 2008-10. Preceded by her tenure with the Lions, Wilkinson began her collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant at Wingate University from 2006-08. In only two seasons with Wingate, the Bulldogs appeared in back-to-back NCAA Southeast Regionals, capturing the 2008 region crown to advance to the NCAA D-II Elite Eight. One interesting bit of trivia is that she coached against Roger Vannoy in his final game as the LMU women's coach.

In 2013, Wilkinson took over as the head varsity women's basketball coach at Gaston Day School in Gastonia, N.C. In only one season at Gaston Day, Wilkinson led the Spartans to a 23-6 record with an undefeated mark in SPAA play. Under Wilkinson's watchful eye, the Spartans advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCISAA Tournament. For her efforts, Wilkinson was named SPAA Coach of the Year and Gardner-Webb University Alumni of the Year.

"I am absolutely thrilled to have Brooke join my staff," commented Reeves-Evans. "We work well together and I have the utmost trust and faith in her abilities. She is a tremendous recruiter and a knowledgeable floor coach. I truly can't say enough great things about her, she is a blessing."

Wilkinson graduated from Gardner-Webb in 2006 with a bachelor's in public relations and a minor in business administration before adding a master's degree in sports administration from Wingate in 2008.
