Malia Matteo enters her sixth year at Lincoln Memorial University as an associate head athletic trainer, working primarily with women's basketball and men’s and women’s golf programs.
Originally from San Diego, California, Matteo graduated from Concordia University Irvine in 2016 with a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration. While in Irvine, Matteo worked with the men's volleyball, men's water polo, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's cross country teams as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
Prior to working at LMU, Matteo was a part-time assistant athletic trainer at Mira Costa College in Oceanside, California, where she worked directly with women's volleyball. Matteo received her Bachelor of Arts in athletic training from Azusa Pacific University in 2014. She enjoys exploring the outdoors, traveling to new places and spending time with friends and family.
