Caitlin Sweeney is entering her second season as the graduate assistant defensive coach for the Lincoln Memorial University women’s lacrosse program.
Sweeney recently completed a stellar playing career at Franklin Pierce University, where she compiled 194 goals, 60 assists, 131 ground balls and 271 draw controls in her career. The Shirley, N.Y., native left ranked second all-time in school history in goals, assists and points.
As a freshman in 2015, the midfielder was named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team. In 2017, Sweeney took home All-North Region second team and All-Northeast-10 second team honors before topping off her impressive junior campaign as an IWLCA All-American third team member. Capping off her college career, she was named All-North Region second team and All-Northeast-10 third team as a senior.
Sweeney graduated from Franklin Pierce with a bachelor’s degree in sports and recreation management. She will be earning a Master in Business Administration and Marketing during her tenure at LMU.
