Emily Howell enters her first season as a Lincoln Memorial University volunteer assistant women's lacrosse coach with a proven track record.
The former University of Louisville standout reeled in a ample amount of awards during her four-year career before playing a year of professional lacrosse with the Boston Storm. The Laurel, Md., native was a named Lacrosse Freshman of the Year and was a Red and Black Scholar during her rookie season. The four-year captain and Athletic Director's Honor Roll honoree was on the 2016 All-ACC Academic Women's Lacrosse Team as well as on the ACC Honor Roll in 2015 and 2016.
In 2017 and 2018, the defender was tabbed the Lacrosse Most Valuable Player before her dominating senior season. Leading the ACC in ground balls per game with 2.88, Howell was named to the second team All-ACC Women's Lacrosse Team and IWLCA All-Region Second Team while being honored with IWLCA Senior All-Star and UPS Leadership Award accolades.
Howell is currently in her first year of medical school at LMU's DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine after graduating from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a track in Cellular/Physiology.
