Joshua Corder

Joshua Corder is entering his first season as the graduate assistant coach for the Lincoln Memorial University volleyball program.

Corder - a 2011 graduate from Harding University - arrives in Harrogate following a two-season stint as the head volleyball coach at Mount Dora Christian Academy in Mount Dora, Fla. In 2015, while also serving as the school's assistant athletic director, Corder was tabbed as the District Coach of the Year.

Along with his role at Mount Dora, Corder served as a coach for the ST7 Volleyball Club, coaching the U14 and U16 teams in 2014 before serving as the U17 coach in 2015. He began his coaching career in 2013 with the Juice Volleyball Club, guiding the U14 squad.

During his tenure at Mount Dora, Corder also taught grades 8-10 while directing the weightlifting class.

Outside of the volleyball court, Corder has a bevy of experience in counseling and mentoring young people, as he served as an assistant therapist at the Capstone Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in 2012, where he provided guidance for residents ages 14-24 recovering from drug addiction. Prior to that, Corder served as a youth ministry intern at the Robinson and Center Church of Christ.

Corder's resume also boasts a variety of volunteer work. He was a volunteer assistant coach for the Madison Academy Volleyball program, the Rocket City Volleyball Club and the Rome Area Volleyball Club. He has made two separate mission trips to Costa Rica and Indiana.

Corder graduated from Harding University in December, 2011 with a B.A. in Youth and Family Ministry. He completed his college career with a 3.1 grade point average and as a Dean’s List honoree.
