Kaitlin Walton joins the Lady Railsplitters for her second season as the program's volunteer assistant coach. In her first year on the sidelines, Walton helped her alma mater compile a 16-15 overall record and a 12-10 South Atlantic Conference mark.
Â
A December, 2014 graduate of Lincoln Memorial, Walton put together one of the more remarkable careers in the history of the volleyball program. The Muncie, Ind. native finished her four-year tenure in the Blue and Gray ranked second all-time with 471 career sets played, accounting for the sixth-most kills in school history with 1,111. Only seven players in the history of the LMU volleyball program have compiled more career points than Walton's 1,279.5.
Â
She was twice named to the All-South Atlantic Conference second team, while also earning All-Southeast Region plaudits from both the AVCA and Daktronics over the course of her career.
Â
Walton was recently accepted to LMU's College of Veterinary Medicine.
