Matt DeLong joined LMU’s Women’s volleyball program as the assistant coach in the summer of 2022. 

"Matt has been a great addition to our program, his tactical and technical skills will help our student-athletes reach new levels." said Women's Volleyball Coach Phillips

Before coming to LMU, DeLong was a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Syracuse (ACC), spent two years at Colgate University (Patriot) as an assistant coach, and was an assistant coach at Texas A&M International University (LSC) in Laredo TX for 1½ years.

DeLong was involved with coaching juniors club volleyball for multiple age groups (14-18) for several different clubs including NETVC, Paradigm, LTX select, and Club Syrv.

DeLong played 5 years as a D1 setter at King University (CC) graduating in 2017 with his Bachelors in Education.
