Amanda Shaw enters her second season as a member of the Lincoln Memorial University sports medicine staff. An LMU graduate and former softball player for the Railsplitters, Shaw came to Lincoln Memorial from West Alabama, where she spent the past four and a half years. She serves as the athletic trainer for the softball and women's soccer programs.
During her time at West Alabama, Shaw was responsible for the high school outreach program. Previously, she was a graduate assistant for the program and also worked with high school outreach. Shaw also has experience with basketball, volleyball, baseball, and lacrosse during her athletic training career.
As an undergraduate at LMU, Shaw played softball from 2012-15. She ranks top-ten all-time in slugging percentage, home runs, runs batted in and total bases while ranking first in times hit by pitch.
Shaw received her bachelor's degree from LMU in 2016 and added a master's degree in physical education from West Alabama in 2018. A Knoxville area native, Shaw resides with her husband, David.
