HARROGATE, Tenn. -- As the end of the year approaches, the Lincoln Memorial University athletics department is counting down the top 20 moments of 2015. At No. 6, we highlight the crowning achievement of men's golfer
Braden Galyon's illustrious career in the Blue and Gray.

After compiling a 71.57 stroke average to break Lincoln Memorial's single-season record for scoring average and notching seven top-10 finishes during the regular season, Galyon become the third straight Railsplitter golfer to be selected as the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year on April 16.

Galyon's outstanding regular season, which helped him become the fourth SAC Player of the Year in program history, included wins at the State Farm Intercollegiate and the Tennessee River Rumble. At one point during his senior season, the Powell, Tenn. native ripped off five consecutive top-five finishes.

A Ping/NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region team selection as well as a GCAA All-American Scholar, Galyon earned an at-large selection to the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional, where he wrapped up his career on May 6 at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club with an 82nd-place finish.

Galyon completed his career at Lincoln Memorial as the program's all-time leader in competitive rounds played with 92. Â A two-time All-SAC selection, he is ranked fifth all-time with a 74.49 stroke average.
