HARROGATE, Tenn. -- Behind their second consecutive straight set victory, the Lady Railsplitters (12-9, 8-5 SAC) knocked off the Catawba Indians (5-13, 3-10 SAC) in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action Friday evening in Mary Mars Gymnasium. Lincoln Memorial controlled the pace from start to finish, winning with set scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-22.

The Lady Railsplitters defeated the Indians for the sixth straight time to even the all-time series at 10-10, edging Catawba in 3-0 fashion for the first time since the 2010 campaign.

A balanced offensive attack carried the Lady Railsplitters to victory as five different players accumulated five-plus kills in the match. Lincoln Memorial hit .209 as a team with 39 total kills and 15 miscues.

Sophomore
Brooke Fleeman (Nashville, Tenn.) led the Lady Railsplitters with nine kills on a blistering .316 attacking clip. Junior
Jazzy Oates (Franklin, Tenn.) played sidekick to Fleeman, tallying eight kills with a .294 mark and a team-leading three block assists. Freshman
Kiera Holland (Columbia, S.C.) added seven kills and five digs, while
MaRanda Boddie (Springfield, Ohio) and
Allison Beavers (Tomball, Texas) pitched in five kills apiece. Sophomore setter
Abby Cash (New Carlisle, Ohio) accounted for 33 assists and eight digs, while junior
Casey Mense (Littleton, Colo.) led the home unit defensively with 16 scoops. Junior
Kendra Gephart (Morrow, Ohio) chipped in 10 digs in the triumphant effort.

The Catawba Indians were limited to a .140 attack percentage with 35 kills, 18 errors and 121 total attempts. Alex Hopper carried Catawba's front line with seven kills, while Erin Morant and McKenzie Garrison accounted for six kills apiece. Morant accumulated that number with a .357 attack percentage, while Garrison paced the Indians with 16 digs. Rachel Gallup added five kills to the attack. Kaytee Frabotta contributed a double-double with 20 assists and 10 digs.

Friday marked the Lady Railsplitters' second straight 3-0 victory, marking the first time the program has accomplished rolling Lenoir-Rhyne, Brevard and Bentley in straight sets during the 2012 campaign.
