WINGATE, N.C. - Wingate (5-3-1, 3-2-0 SAC) extended their win streak over the Lady Railsplitters (1-7, 1-4 SAC) to 11 games with a 7-0 rout Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore forward Kimmi Moore led the way with two goals and an assist. Five other Bulldogs also joined in on the scoring barrage.
The teams played scoreless into the 19
th minute when Moore completed a pass to Taylor Krakower, who finished off the close-range score. Moore added her first goal of the game just 32 seconds later. Wingate kept up its relentless pressure and closed the first half up 5-0.
The Bulldogs held a 29-3 shot advantage, including a season-high 18 on goal. Taylor Leyble led the team with five shots (three on goal). She also added a goal and two assists.
LMU goalkeeper
Kathryn Lundy (Pinckney, Mich.) made a season-high six saves before leaving with an injury in the 56
th minute. She was replaced by
Brooke Taylor (White Pine, Tenn.), who had five saves.
Lincoln Memorial has now gone 300 minutes without scoring dating back to a 61st-minute goal at Queens on September 17.
