HARROGATE, Tenn. – The suddenly revitalized Lady Railsplitters (11-10, 6-7 SAC) will try to win their fourth consecutive South Atlantic Conference match on Tuesday when they host the rival Carson-Newman Eagles (11-10, 6-7 SAC) at 7 p.m. inside of Mary Mars Gym.

- Lincoln Memorial moved into a tie for fifth place in the SAC standings and improved to 5-2 in its last seven matches with a pair of dominant 3-0 wins over Coker and Newberry this past weekend at Mary Mars Gym.
- In the 25-20, 25-11, 25-16 victory over Coker on Friday night, the Lady Railsplitters hit a season-high .348 and held the Cobras to a .059 effort to avenge a 3-0 loss in the two teams' first meeting this season.
Lindsey Nartker posted a nearly flawless effort with 13 kills and just one error, while

- The Lady Railsplitters were equally dominant in Saturday's 25-16, 25-14, 25-9 triumph over Newberry, limiting the Wolves to a dreadful .010 attack percentage while racking up 34 kills on a .247 clip. Lincoln Memorial combined for 18 block assists, led by six from
Tone Gill. The Lady Railsplitters ended the third and final set on a 17-1 run.
- After losing setter
Samantha Cash for the season, the Lady Railsplitters have rode a stifling defense to redefine their identity and get the season back on track. Lincoln Memorial is holding opponents to just 11.78 kills per set on a .149 attack percentage while leading the SAC in blocks (177) and ranking second in blocks per set (2.30).
- Holland is ranked fourth in the SAC in kills per set with 3.47 and is hitting a career-high .210. The senior from Columbia, S.C. has double-digit kills in five of her last seven appearances, including a 25-kill effort against Mars Hill on October 10. She combined for 18 kills in six sets last weekend.
Know the Opponent
- Carson-Newman replicated LMU's feat last weekend with back-to-back sweeps over Newberry and Coker to move into a tie for fifth in the SAC standings. The Eagles enter Tuesday's match riding a three-game winning streak that also includes a 3-2 win over Augusta.
- The Eagles hit .327 to power their 26-24, 25-10, 25-12 win over Newberry on Friday. Marnie Streeter had a game-high 16 kills on a .371 attack percentage, while Megan Oldenburger chipped in eight kills on a .292 clip.
- Streeter again led Carson-Newman to victory in Saturday's 25-18, 25-22, 25-18 triumph over Coker, compiling a game-high 14 kills on a .324 attack percentage. She was the only Eagle with more than 10 kills but five players produced at least four.
- Streeter is ranked third in the SAC with 3.68 kills per set while averaging a hair over four kills per set against league opponents. Freshman outside Megan Oldenburger is also making a major impact with 2.43 kills per set, while Natalie Harris (1.55), Emily Harnischfeger (1.47) and Alex Biro (1.25) are also contributing over a kill per frame.
- Senior Anna Patton took over full-time setting duties for the Eagles this past weekend as the team transitioned from a 6-2 to a 5-1. She racked up 33 assists against Newberry and compiled 30 against Coker.
- The Eagles have identical 4-4 records at home and on the road this season.
- Carson-Newman is pretty solid defensively, ranking second in the league in digs per set with 19.92 while accounting for the fourth-most blocks per set in the league with 1.97. However, the Eagles have been vulnerable in serve receive, where they have committed a league-high 130 reception errors.
- Libero Morgan Ballard leads the SAC in digs per set with 7.03 while her 520 digs trail only Lincoln Memorial's
Erica Whiteaker (541) for the most in the conference. Ballard recorded a SAC-record 58 digs against Mars Hill on September 9 and also had a 53-dig performance at Augusta on October 14.
Head-to-Head
In one of the oldest rivalries in program history, the Lady Railsplitters own a 37-18 advantage all-time against the Eagles since the two programs first met in 1989. Lincoln Memorial has won the past four matchups, including a 3-1 win in Jefferson City earlier this season. Carson-Newman hasn't beaten Lincoln Memorial at Mars Gym since the 2014 season.
In this season's first meeting, Holland had 13 kills while
Rylee Storms added 12 to lead Lincoln Memorial to an 11-25, 25-14, 26-24, 25-19 victory. Streeter paced the Eagles with nine kills.
