HARROGATE, Tenn. – The No. 9/11 Lady Railsplitters sent out their three seniors in style and junior
Ross Mathis (Greer, S.C.) set a new LMU single-game three-point percentage record as they totally throttled Queens 97-45 Saturday afternoon. LMU improved to 23-2 on the season and 18-2 in the South Atlantic Conference with the win and remained in first place in the SAC standings.
The win was the second-largest margin of victory in LMU's NCAA era (the largest was a 132-73 win over Lees-McRae on Nov. 14, 1998) and the sixth-largest margin of victory in program history.
The team celebrated Senior Day before the game and honored seniors
Megan Pittman (Liberty, Ky.),
Sydnie Anderson (Cleveland, Tenn.) and
Josey Harding (Middletown, Ohio). Pittman also was honored for surpassing the 1,000 point mark last week at Newberry.
Mathis led LMU with a career-high 23 points, including going 7-9 (77.8%) from three-point range. That set a new LMU single-game record for a three-point percentage by a player.
Sydney Duggins (Oliver Springs, Tenn.) tied her career-high with 13 points while her hometown compadre
Emily Griffith (Oliver Springs, Tenn.) also had a career-high 11 points in the contest.

The Lady Railsplitters dominated in almost every statistical category. They outshot the Royals 47.9%-to-35.1% from the field, 48.1%-to-11.1% from three-point range and 87.5%-to-72.0% from the free throw line. LMU out-rebounded Queens 36-27, had 58 bench points to QU's 11 and had an 18-5 margin in second chance points.
Karsen Sims (Gatlinburg, Tenn.) and
