HARROGATE, Tenn. – After an explosive offensive showing last weekend in the Salem Tournament, the Lady Railsplitters (14-7) begin a six-game home stand on Thursday afternoon when they host Trevecca (10-11) for a nonconference doubleheader at Dorothy Neely Field.

-Lincoln Memorial racked up nine home runs and plated 36 combined runs to go 2-1 last weekend at the Salem Tournament. The Lady Railsplitters ripped USciences 19-1 in five innings before falling just short in a comeback attempt against West Liberty, 7-6. LMU wrapped up that one-day event by handing Shippensburg a 10-4 loss.

Allie Jones (Ooltewah, Tenn.) was at the center of the Lady Railsplitters' offensive onslaught last week. Jones went 9-for-18 in six appearances with three home runs, 10 RBI and nine runs scored to earn AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week plaudits. The Ooltewah, Tennessee native didn't have a multi-hit game through her first 15 appearances this season, but tallied four last week alone to lift her average from .167 to .276.

Brianna Taylor (Ooltewah, Tenn.) was tabbed as the AstroTurf SAC Pitcher of the Week after going 3-0 last week with just four earned runs over 24 innings of work. Taylor threw back-to-back complete-game shutouts against Bluefield State and Virginia-Wise, allowing just eight combined hits in those two appearances. She also picked up her eighth win of the season with a complete-game performance in a 10-4 win over Shippensburg in the final game of the Salem Tournament. Taylor is currently ranked fifth in the SAC in wins, fourth in shutouts, sixth in complete games and ninth in innings pitched.

Ty-Kella Goins (Ramseur, N.C.) went 4-for-9 at the Salem Tournament with five RBI, two home runs and four runs scored, and enters the week riding a four-game hitting streak. She leads the Lady Railsplitters in RBI (19) and is second behind only
Dakotah Fraley (Walkersville, Md.) in terms of total hits with 22. She also is tied with Fraley for the team lead in home runs with four.

Ashlea Hunter (Woodruff, S.C.) is quietly off to a strong start for the Lady Railsplitters. She went 5-for-11 at the Salem Tournament with two doubles, a home run and five runs scored. Her 20 hits are tied for the third-most on the team, while she has accounted for two of LMU's three triples.
-The Lady Railsplitters are 5-1 at Dorothy Neely Field this season. That includes doubleheader sweeps against Lees-McRae and Bluefield State as well as a split against Virginia-Wise.
-Thursday will be the second-to-last nonconference test for the Lady Railsplitters, who open South Atlantic Conference play on Saturday against Wingate. Lincoln Memorial completes its nonconference slate against Limestone on March 30.
Notes on the Trojans:
-Trevecca just finished an eight-game stretch in Clermont, Florida, where they competed in the PFX – The Spring Games. The Trojans went 3-5 in that week-long event with wins over Walsh, Ashland and Cardinal Stritch.
-Trevecca has played just two home games this season, as the Trojans took two from Cumberland University on March 2. The Trojans return to Nashville to host Southern Indiana on March 22, but won't be home again after that until April 5.
-The Trojans are led offensively by Ashton Stowe and MaKray Odom. Odom leads the team with 32 hits and 10 stolen bases, while Stowe has record 20 hits. Those two have identical .444 batting averages, but have combined for just two extra-base hits.
-Kaitlin Crumpler, Kat Burbrink and Alex Richardson have provided the pop in the Trevecca's batting order. Crumpler is hitting .320 with two doubles, three homers and 11 RBI, while Burbrink leads the team with 17 runs batted in. Richardson is batting just .246, but has done significant damage when she does put the ball in play with two doubles and a team-best five home runs.
-Raygn Hall leads the Trojans in innings pitched with 40.2, and has compiled a 2-6 record with a 3.61 earned run average over that span. Hall has fanned just 17 batters and issued 16 free passes with a .307 batting average against. Morgan Powell is second on the team with 36.1 innings pitched, but has a 6.55 ERA, a 1-3 record and a sky-high .352 batting average against.
Series History:
-Lincoln Memorial and Trevecca ignited their series in 2015 and have played in each of the past two seasons. The Lady Railsplitters are 3-1 all-time against the Trojans.
-Lincoln Memorial swept Trevecca in Nashville last season, winning 5-3 in game one before trouncing the Trojans 11-2 in game two.
Jennifer Moose (Statesville, N.C.) went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in game one, while Jones went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a home run in game two.
-The Lady Railsplitters opened the 2015 campaign by splitting a doubleheader against Trevecca at Dorothy Neely Field, rebounding from an 8-0 loss in game one with a 2-1 win in game two. Hunter went 2-for-3 in game two, while Taylor struck out nine in a complete-game six-hitter.
