Lady Railsplitters host Albany State for nonconference clash on Tuesday

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lady Railsplitters have been dominant against nonconference competition this season, compiling a 4-1 record when stepping outside of South Atlantic Conference play. Lincoln Memorial (4-4) will have an opportunity to improve upon that mark when the winless Albany State Golden Rams (0-6) invade the LMU Soccer Complex on Tuesday for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

Quick Hits

- The Lady Railsplitters suffered their third 1-0 loss of the season on Saturday afternoon as the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears scored in the 83rd minute to drop Lincoln Memorial to 0-3 in SAC play. It marks the first time since the 2003 campaign that the LMU women's soccer program has been handed three 1-0 setbacks in the same season.

- The Lady Railsplitters were shutout for the fourth time in the past five matches in Saturday's loss to Lenoir-Rhyne. Lincoln Memorial has had no problem scoring against nonconference opponents, though, averaging two goals per game including a pair of three-goal outbursts against Erskine and Tennessee Wesleyan.

- Aside from a 4-0 loss to Queens, the Lady Railsplitters have been rock solid defensively. In the team's seven matches other than the letdown against the Royals, Lincoln Memorial is giving up an average of .71 goals per match. The Lady Railsplitters have been most vulnerable off of set pieces, as a free kick led to Lenoir-Rhyne's game-winning goal.

- Nine players have contributed at least one point for the Lady Railsplitters so far this season, led by junior striker Caroline Souza's seven points. Mariana Diaz has produced five points, while Courtney Boyd has three with a goal and an assist. Souza leads the team in shots (27) and shots on goal (13), but has been held scoreless in her last six appearances.

- Lincoln Memorial has scored just two of its 10 goals this season at the LMU Soccer Complex. Both of those came in a 2-1 win over USC Aiken on September 8. The Lady Railsplitters also scored three in a "home" win over Tennessee Wesleyan, but that match was played at Union College due to unplayable field conditions in Harrogate.
