WINGATE, N.C. – Fresh off a pair of top-25 wins, No. 15 Lincoln Memorial (5-0-2, 1-0-2 SAC) will face another tough road test Saturday at the defending national champion Wingate Bulldogs (6-3, 4-0 SAC). The Railsplitters have had a full week off since defeating No. 5 Lenoir-Rhyne 2-0 at the LMU Soccer Complex last Saturday, while Wingate suffered a 1-0 loss to No. 14 Limestone on Wednesday night.

Danilo da Silva was named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season Monday after tallying two goals in LMU's win at No. 12 Lees-McRae and adding an assist in the team's win over No. 5 Lenoir-Rhyne. The senior forward has recorded at least one point in six of seven matches this year and has three multi-point efforts. Da Silva's six goals and 15 points are tied for second in the SAC behind Wingate's Elliot Cutts, while his three assists are tied for third-most.

Caleb Cothrin made his sixth straight start in goal Saturday and recorded his third shutout in Lincoln Memorial's 2-0 win. The junior goalkeeper has made a SAC-high 33 saves and is tied for the conference's second-best save percentage at .846.
- Lincoln Memorial has scored at least two goals in six of its seven matches and owns the SAC's third-best scoring attack with 2.29 goals per game.
- The Railsplitters have only been outshot once in seven matches and own a 105-86 edge overall. Of those 105 shots, 60 have landed on goal. The team's .571 shots on goal percentage would break the program record of .520 set back in 2000.

- Wingate saw its five-match winning streak come to an end on Wednesday night, as the 14th-ranked Limestone Saints scored in the 87th minute to power a 1-0 win in Gaffney, S.C. The Bulldogs fell despite landing six shots on goal compared to two for the Saints.
- All three of Wingate's losses have been a result of late goals. In addition to Wednesday's defeat on Limestone's 87th-minute goal, the Bulldogs suffered a 1-0 loss at Chowan on an 84th-minute goal, while Rollins scored in the 88th minute to capture a 2-1 win.
- Wingate is 4-0 in SAC play and has outscored its opponents 12-3 in league play. That includes 4-1 wins over Queens and Anderson, a 2-1 win at Mars Hill and a 2-0 victory at Newberry.
- The Bulldogs own the most potent offensive attack in the SAC, as they lead the league in goals (22), shots on goal (63) and assists (18) while ranking second in goals per game (2.44) and shots per game (15.1).
- Three players – Elliot Cutts, Elma N'For and Felipe Checco – have double-digit points for the Bulldogs. Cutts leads the league with seven goals and 15 points, while N'For has produced five goals and two assists. Checco has contributed two goals and six assists. Teams must also prepare for Mattia Ditmmaso, reigning All-American Jon Ander and Christian Szalay, who have each scored multiple goals as well.
- Junior goalkeeper Pablo Jara is still amongst the best in the business, though he is having a bit of a down season by his lofty standards. After allowing just eight goals and posting an .843 save percentage during Wingate's run to the 2016 NCAA Division II National Championship, Jara has conceded nine goals this season with a .735 save percentage.
