Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team, the reigning SAC Champions, and head coach Tom Gillette have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season.
This season will see seven home matches, seven away matches, and one neutral site match. Five out of the seven home matches this season will be conference matches, while the other five SAC matches will be on the road. In the three seasons that Gillette has lead the squad, they have gone 14-5-4 at home and 29-16-9 overall.
Lincoln Memorial will have three exhibition matches before beginning the regular season, starting with traveling to Crestview Hills, KY to face Thomas More on August 15th. They will have a couple days of rest before they host their final two exhibitions against Young Harris on August 19th and Lee University on August 22nd.
The team will open their season on the road as they make the long trip to Florida for a pair of games as they go to West Palm Beach, FL to face Palm Beach Atlantic on August 27th and Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, FL on August 29th.
Lincoln Memorial will then return home with a trio of matches to begin September, beginning with hosting Wingate for the SAC opener on September 5th, followed by facing non-conformance opponent Lynn on September 8th. The squad will then have a week off before hosting their third straight home match against Lenoir-Rhyne on September 16th. The Railsplitters will then travel to Newberry, SC to face Newberry on September 19th followed by going on the road to Greeneville, TN to face Tusculum on September 23rd. The team will finish out the month with another non-conference match against the University of Montevallo on September 29th.
The Railsplitters will start out October on the road with a match against Mars Hill in Mars Hil, NC on October 2nd. After, LMU will return home for a pair of SAC match ups, first against Emory & Henry on October 7th and then against Catawba on October 10th. The team will then travel to Chattanooga, TN for their lone neutral site match of the season as they face their last non-conference opponent Auburn University Montgomery. The team will then alternate away/home to finish out the regular season, as they travel to Hartsville, SC to face Coker on October 17th, return home for Anderson on October 24th, and go back on the road to Jefferson City, TN to face Carson-Newman on October 28th for the regular season finale.
The SAC Tournament will begin on October 31st with the quarterfinal matches at campus sites. The semifinal and final matches will be on November 6th and November 8th, both in Matthews, NC.
