Postseason possibilities await as men's soccer faces Newberry in regular-season finale

NEWBERRY, S.C. — The Railsplitters' monumental win Wednesday night at Queens set them up perfectly for a top-four spot heading into the South Atlantic Conference Tournament, which starts Tuesday. Now, the Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer team just has to snag a victory as the Railsplitters (8-3-3, 5-2-2 SAC) travel for its regular-season finale at second-to-last place Newberry (3-10-3, 2-5-2) this weekend.

Lenoir Rhyne has already solidified the No. 1 spot, but a win would keep the Railsplitters at the No. 4 seed, if not higher depending on how the other matches play out. Queens and Wingate sit in the No. 2 and No. 3 slots, respectively, while Tusculum is one spot below LMU. The Railsplitters hold tie-breakers in all three of those scenarios, making their chance to host the SAC Tournament quarterfinals very likely.
