Lady Railsplitters start final week of regular season at Carson-Newman

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Winners of seven of its last eight matches, the sizzling-hot Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team begins the final week of the regular season on Tuesday night with a trip to rival Carson-Newman.

The Lady Railsplitters (16-7, 12-5 SAC) picked up a pair of massive wins last weekend, knocking off No. 5 regionally-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne in four sets on Saturday after taking down No. 9 regionally-ranked Mars Hill in four sets on Friday night at Mary Mars Gym. LMU enters the final week alone in third place in the SAC standings.

Carson-Newman (13-11, 9-8 SAC) has been up and down of late, but defeated both Catawba and Queens in four sets this past weekend. The Eagles are fifth in the SAC standings and were ranked 10th in the initial Southeast Region poll.

The Eagles did, however, win against both Catawba and Queens in four sets last weekend.
