HARROGATE, Tenn. – The final weekend of the regular season is upon the Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team, bringing with it South Atlantic Conference matchups at Coker on Friday and Wingate on Saturday.
The Lady Railsplitters (17-7, 13-5 SAC) are one of the hottest teams in the conference with wins in eight of their last nine matches. Lincoln Memorial – ranked No. 6 in the most recent Southeast Region poll – swept Carson-Newman on Tuesday to assure a third-place conference finish.
Coker (12-15, 4-14 SAC) has dropped seven of its last nine matches, including back-to-back 3-0 sweeps at Mars Hill and Catawba. Wingate (24-1, 17-1 SAC) suffered its first loss of the season on Friday at Anderson, but the 25th nationally ranked Bulldogs bounced back with a 3-1 win at Newberry.

- A plethora of Carson-Newman errors helped the Lady Railsplitters clinch a 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 win on Tuesday night in Jefferson City. No LMU player had more than eight kills while six had at least three.
Rylee Storms led that effort with eight.

Kai Wesemann has been an undervalued member of the LMU attack of late. Wesemann has provided at least seven kills in seven consecutive matches, including a 13-kill effort against Lenoir-Rhyne. Over the past month, she has contributed 2.33 kills per set on a .176 attack percentage.
- Lincoln Memorial is locked into a third-place SAC finish with a 13-5 conference record. Second-place Anderson is currently sitting at 16-2, while fourth-place Lenoir-Rhyne is 11-8. It marks a massive bounce-back effort for the Lady Railsplitters, who finished seventh in the league last season at 8-12 in SAC play.

Emily Walter has arguably had the biggest impact on the Lady Railsplitters' turnaround. She is ranked fourth in the league with 9.85 assists per set and fifth in total assists with 847 while also contributing 2.99 digs per frame.
- The Lady Railsplitters have won four straight road matches since their last loss outside of Mary Mars Gym on September 29 at Lenoir-Rhyne. LMU has won three of those four road matches in straight sets.
- Over 11 matches in October, Lincoln Memorial has racked up 12.55 kills per set on a .203 attack percentage. The Lady Railsplitters have hit at least .170 in eight straight matches.
Notes on Coker
- The Cobras have lost six straight sets since sweeping Newberry last Friday. Coker hit -.040 in a 3-0 loss at Mars Hill and .124 in a 3-0 loss at Catawba.
- Junior Taylor du Bray is one of the best attackers in the league, leading the SAC with 3.79 kills per set while ranking second in total kills with 349. Freshmen Lana Strejcek and Olivia Cerick have contributed 2.44 and 2.21 kills per set, respectively.
- The Cobras are second-to-last in the SAC with a .129 conference attack percentage. They have committed 422 attack errors across 18 SAC matches.
- Coker is 10th out of 11 teams in the league in blocks per set with 1.36. Opponents are averaging 11.85 kills per set on a .199 hitting percentage.
- Freshman Rami Mullen has posted 9.48 assists and 3.36 digs per set. Kara Overholt leads the team with 4.59 digs per frame.
- Coker has committed the second-most service errors in the SAC with 179. Cerick and du Bray are tied for the team lead with 33 aces apiece.
Notes on Wingate
- The Bulldogs lead the SAC in kills per set with 14.58, attack percentage with a .241 mark and assists per set with 13.99. Opponents, meanwhile, are averaging a measly 9.37 kills per set on a .104 attack percentage.
- Wingate is 12-0 at home this season, where they are accounting for an absurd 15.05 kills per set and hitting .258.
- Phoebe Havenaar, Hannah Givens and Anna Holmquist are each contributing over three kills per set. Havenaar has put down 3.20 kills per set while ranking second in the SAC with a .334 attack percentage, Givens has amassed 3.12 kills per set, and Holmquist has deposited 3.02 kills per frame while ranking third in the SAC with a .332 attack percentage.
- Setter Rachel Alles is second in the conference with 11.26 assists per set and 968 total assists. Kori Adams leads the team with 5.81 digs per frame.
- Wingate is atop the SAC in terms of attendance as well with an average of 364 attendees per match.
- The Bulldogs need a pair of wins this weekend to assure their 12th SAC regular-season title in the past 13 season. Wingate is a game ahead of second-place Anderson with a 17-1 conference record.
Series History
- LMU is 10-1 all-time against Coker, which includes a 3-0 sweep at Mars Gym back on October 5. The Lady Railsplitters have earned seven of their 10 wins in the series in straight sets.
- Wingate has bullied the Lady Railsplitters to the point of a 26-1 mark in the series. LMU succumbed to the Bulldogs in four sets on October 6, but managed to snap a string of four consecutive straight-set losses in the series.
- The Lady Railsplitters are 0-13 all-time at Wingate and haven't won a set against the Bulldogs on the road since 2009.
