HARROGATE, Tenn. — The LMU women's lacrosse team will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday afternoon when it hosts Mars Hill University for a 1 p.m. South Atlantic Conference match at the LMU Lacrosse Complex.

The Lady Railsplitters (6-2, 1-1 SAC) look to rebound after having their program-record six-game winning streak snapped on Saturday at nationally ranked Queens. Mars Hill (3-5, 0-1 SAC) heads into Wednesday's contest having lost four of its last five games.

"Mars Hill has greatly improved from last year to this year," Head Coach Caitlyn Corace said of the Lions, who won just three games all season in 2018. "We can't overlook them. It's a conference game so you have to go into it with a different mindset from both sides. It is going to be a good game."

Lincoln Memorial will once again be looking to light up the scoreboard on offense. Attacker Erin DePaul is leading the Lady Railsplitters in goals with 27. LMU also gets solid goal scoring production from Kelly Csenar (18), Casey Kelly (11), Amara Moss (19) and Kennedy Buechner (8).

Mars Hill has been averaging just over 14 goals against per game.

At the defensive end of the field goalie, Micayla Starnes will look to get back to form. Prior to Saturday's contest, she had been allowing less than 10 goals per game.

"We have to make sure we play a full 60 minutes and not give them too many opportunities," Corace noted. "We have to play our game and hit the reset button after Saturday. Saturday was a different type of ball game. We have to get back to playing LMU lacrosse and play tough defense."

LMU has hit the physical part of its schedule where the team will be playing two games a week from here on out.

"The girls have got to stretch out a little more because like I've said before, playing two games a week is tough," Corace said. "They have to continue to work hard to stay ready."

After being shut out in the second half at Queens, Corace is looking for the team to regain its early season confidence.

"They know that every conference game is important," she said. "They know they have to move forward and beat Mars Hill, Catawba and each opponent down the line. Once you hit conference play, each game means so much more. We have to get the job done."
