HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Lady Railsplitter lacrosse team will face its second nationally ranked opponent of the season in an out-of-conference matchup with the UIndy Greyhounds Tuesday at the LMU Lacrosse Complex. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
LMU (9-3, 3-2 SAC) is coming off a hard-fought 8-6 loss to Wingate Saturday afternoon. UIndy comes into Tuesday's game ranked 12
th nationally in the latest Division II Women's Lacrosse ranking with a record of 9-1. Tuesday's match will be the second of a three-game stretch over seven days for the Lady Railsplitters.
Head Coach
Caitlyn Corace has been preparing the team for the multi-game weeks since the start of preseason training.
"This is something we've been preparing for all season," Corace said referring to the three games in seven days. "Having these three tough games during this week will prepare us for the rest of the season. It's about getting the girls mentally ready to face another tough opponent and be as prepared as possible."
The Greyhounds come into Harrogate with a potent offensive attack and a strong defense that gives up only 4.5 goals per game. The Greyhounds have only given up 41 goals total in 10 games. Offensively, UIndy has a lopsided advantage in shots on goal with 293 while yielding only 84. The offense is led by a trio of 20 goal scorers, Destinie Katz, Grace Gunneson and Lauryn Hardoy.
LMU will look to get its offense on track, especially scoring leader
Erin DePaul, who was shutout against Wingate. DePaul leads the team with 38 goals followed by
Kelly Csenar (29) and
Amara Moss (22). In goal,
Micayla Starnes has been a rock, yielding only 8.5 goals a game.

Following Tuesday's game Lincoln Memorial will face South Atlantic Conference power Lenoir-Rhyne in Harrogate on Saturday.
