The Bulldogs (3-1, 1-1 SAC) got out to a hot start, taking a 21-10 lead after the 12-minute media timeout, and the lead into the break, but a strong second half by the Railsplitters feel just short of retaking the lead within the final minutes.

The Railsplitters were out-rebounded for the first time this season as Wingate pulled down 47 rebounds compared to 43 by LMU.

The Bulldogs took a 18-10 lead into the first media timeout, but a 9-0 run by the Railsplitters brought the Wingate led to within four. Wingate increased their lead to 13 at the 2:41 mark, but a three-pointer by freshman Matthew Sells sparked an 8-0 run by Lincoln Memorial to bring the Bulldog lead to 43-37 at half.

A quick layup from the Splitters got things going to begin the second half, but Wingate responded with a three-pointer from Sean Elmore. Coming out of the 12-minute media timeout, the Railsplitters cut the Wingate lead to four on layup by Me'Kell Burries. Burries exploded for 12 points in the second half as Lincoln Memorial tied it up, but Wingate prevailed, taking the game, 75-71.
