Men's Bowling Record Second Victory of 2021 Fall Slate at LMU Collegiate Challenge

Alex Linnenbrink crowned champion, Zachary Cook in fourth at Hillcrest Lanes

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's bowling team placed first out of the eight-team field this weekend at the LMU Collegiate Challenge, hosted by the Railsplitters at Hillcrest Lanes.

LMU took gold after recording a total pin-fall of 8,272, defeating the University of the Cumberlands who placed second overall. The Railsplitters earned their second victory of the season after September's Cardinal Classic, in addition to their sixth top-10 finish of the 2021-22 fall slate.

Freshman newcomer Alex Linnenbrink was crowned the Lincoln Memorial Collegiate champion Sunday afternoon inside the friendly confines of Hillcrest Lanes, clinching the individual title with a total pin-fall of 1,069. Linnenbrink has now won two-consecutive events in his debut Railsplitter campaign, after winning last month's Roto Raider Classic.

Veteran Colorado native Zachary Cook yet again bowled his way to a top-10 finish, placing fourth individually this weekend in Harrogate. The senior bowled an exact-1000 pin-fall through five total games.

LMU has now concluded their 2021 fall slate, and will return to spring championship action next month at the Brandon Burns Memorial.
