The third set was a different story. LMU and AUM got out to a 3-3 tie to start the third before the Lady Railsplitters rattled off six straight points to take a 9-3 lead. The Warhawks responded moments later with their own five-point run, but LMU was able to keep AUM at bay in the third to capture the set, 25-22.

The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle that eventually fell in the favor of LMU, 25-23. The fourth started with a 4-1 AUM lead before the Lady Railsplitters were able to even things up at 12 apiece before securing the lead and not looking back.

Playing in the second fifth set within 24 hours, LMU got down early to AUM, but was able to battle back to bring things within two and that was not enough as the Warhawks defeated the Lady Railsplitters, 15-12, in the fifth set.
