Junior midfielder Peter Majer has been named the South Atlantic Conference men's soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
 
The Budapest, Hungary, native scored two goals, including the game-winner, in Lincoln Memorial's 3-2 win over in-state rival Tusculum on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Majer started the scoring for the day with a goal in the 23^rd minute before putting a free kick into the back of the net in the 85^th minute for the go-ahead goal late in the match. The win improved Lincoln Memorial's record to 4-4-1 (2-2 SAC).
 
With the performance, Majer now has 10 points (6^th in the SAC) and four goals (7^th) on the year.
 
This is the Railsplitters' second weekly conference award of the season after Harry Cooke also won the Offensive Player of the Week honor on Sept. 20.
 
In SAC play this week, the Railsplitters travel to Mars Hill for a night match on Wednesday before hosting Catawba on Saturday at the LMU Lacrosse Complex.
