GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's lacrosse team fell on Saturday in South Carolina to Lander, 19-5, on Saturday afternoon.
The Bearcats controlled the contest from the opening faceoff, racing out to a 4-1 lead after 15 minutes of play. Lander went up 2-0 at the 7:19 mark, but Lincoln Memorial's
Kevin Jendrasik was able to cut the lead by one.
Jendrasik and the Railsplitters found the back of the net again in the second quarter. The Concord, North Carolina native tallied his second of the game at the 7:30 mark, but the Bearcats were able to increase their lead to 10-2 at the break.
Lander furthered their lead to begin the third quarter, jumping to a 16-2 lead over LMU. Jendrasik found the back of the net for the hat trick at the 5:47 mark to give the Railsplitters their third tally of the afternoon.
The Railsplitters found the net twice in the fourth, but the Bearcats' defense was able to keep the Splitter offense quiet as Lander went onto capture the win over LMU, 19-5.

The Railsplitters will come home for a two-game homestand beginning with Young Harris on Saturday, February 26 with a 4 p.m. face-off. This will mark the first home event in 731 days for Lincoln Memorial Men's Lacrosse.
