HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball program (9-10, 7-9 SAC) got back to winning ways Saturday afternoon in South Carolina, off the back of a season-high 29 points from Lady Railsplitter graduate Irelynn Davisson, sealing the 72-56 victory.
 
A consistent offensive performance through each quarter Saturday saw LMU score 15 or more in every quarter, in addition to a hounding defensive performance in the first half. The Lady Railsplitters only gave up 12 points in both the first and second quarter, heading to the break with a commanding 35-24 advantage over the Cobras.
 
The Cobras' finished Saturday's SAC contest converting just 22 of their of the 60 overall attempts from the floor, as the intense Blue & Grey defense held their opposition to 36 percent from the floor. A pivotal point in the Lady Railsplitters' defense came on the glass, as 28 of their 32 rebounds were defensive, denying the Cobras of many second-chance baskets.
 
The Lady Railsplitters shot nearly 10 percent better from the floor than Coker for the 16-point victory, as Irelynn Davisson was close to flawless in the offensive end. The graduate transfer drilled six triples, en route to sealing a season-high of converting 10 of her 14 attempts.
 
Mikayla Kuehne recorded yet another double-double to add to her season tally at Coker, scoring 18 points in 34 minutes of action against the Cobras. Kuehne also grabbed 11 boards on the afternoon. Point guard Lauren Flowers was again all over the court, as she produced an impressive nine-point, four-assist, six-rebound line.
