Men's Lacrosse Completes Comeback over Lions

MARS HILL, N.C. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's lacrosse program captured their first South Atlantic Conference victory since 2019 on Wednesday night after coming back from down six to defeat Mars Hill, 10-8.

Carson Bowling got things going for the Railsplitters early, giving them the lead just four minutes into the contest. The Lions did not take long to respond as they rattled off three straight to take a 3-1 lead. LMU's offense was not quite done yet as Rhodes Conroy and Jordan Sullivan were able to bring things to a draw after 15 minutes of play.

Mars Hill was able to tighten the loose ends on the defensive side has the Railsplitters were held scoreless over the second quarter as the Lions were able to tally four goals to take a 7-3 lead into the halftime break.

It was all Lincoln Memorial out of the break as the Railsplitters broke out for a six-goal third quarter performance. Caleb Raydo got the party started with an extra-man goal at the 12:47 mark on the dump from Kevin Jendrasik. Francis O'Hara got in the mix with his first of the evening before Jendrasik made the Lion lead just two. Bowling and Conroy were able to tally their second goals of the day to give LMU the 9-8 lead over Mars Hill.

Lincoln Memorial continued to lock down defensively as the Lions again were held scoreless in the fourth while the Railsplitters were given an insurance goal from Aiden Smith at the 9:24 that went onto seal the win for LMU over Mars Hill, 10-8.
