OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team fell in three sets (25-16, 25-12, 25-18) to Harding on Friday in its first game of the Kentucky Wesleyan Tournament. The Railsplitters will be back at it this afternoon against Maryville.
Set 1: Harding 25-16
The Bisons got out to early 7-0 and 15-4 leads, holding at least a six-point advantage through the remainder of the set.
Sierrah Lemons had three kills, while
Amanda Lisi and
Kristen Moehring contributed an ace and a kill each in the opening frame to lead the Railsplitter offense.
Set 2: Harding 25-12
Aces from Moehring and
Ketura Margaret plus a kill from Margaret helped Lincoln Memorial lead 6-5 early, but Harding fought back with a 7-0 spurt to take control of the set. The final margin of 13 points was the highest for the Bisons in the game. Margaret, Moehring and
Gabriela Abreu all contributed points for the Railsplitter offense in the second frame.
Set 3: Harding 25-18
The score was tight early, with three kills from
Maggie Sanderson and two from Margaret help the Railsplitters tie the score at 10-10. The Bisons rolled from there, extending the lead to as much as eight before a Skyler McKinnon kill clinched the match for them. Sanderson's four kills paced Lincoln Memorial in the final set.

The Bisons had 46 kills to the Railsplitters' 17.
