COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 3 Columbus State on Wednesday afternoon at the Walden Soccer Complex. Faith Knoedler scored a hat trick off the bench to lead the Cougars (6-1-1) to victory.
Scoreless for much of the first half of the opening period, Columbus State opened the scoring with a goal from Rachael Sweigard in the 22
nd minute. Knoedler scored her first of three in the 32
nd minute to put the hosts up 2-0, which was also the score at halftime.

Indy Meerding recorded two shots each for the Railsplitters (1-6), with Bearding putting one on goal. Both halves featured the same number of shots for each team (14-4 Columbus State) to give the Cougars a 28-8 advantage in the category for the match.
The Railsplitters' next scheduled contest is on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Newberry.
