Harrogate, TN- The Lady Railsplitters had their home opener today against Milligan University. After a two and a half hour delay, the game started up with a Milligan kickoff and the game was underway.

The game had both teams eager and Lincoln Memorial struck first with a goal in the first 6 minutes of the game by
Jordan Hellman. Only 6 minutes later,
Jordan Hellman made her second goal of the game, putting the Railsplitters up 2-0. Lincoln Memorial played great defense the first half by not allowing a single shot be attempted. Three more goals were made in the first half by Anne Munt,
Megan Snider assisted by
Alicia Bevins, and
Merel Houweling. The Lady Railsplitters shot a couple more times before the half came to an end with a score of 5-0.

The second half started up with a kickoff from Lincoln Memorial. The Lady Railsplitters came out of the half ready to dominate.
Corrine Denton scored the team's sixth goal around the 46 minute mark. Lincoln Memorial continued shooting with 10 attempts to make a goal before scoring their seventh and final goal around the 85 minute mark made by
Alicia Bevins.

Lincoln Memorial took the victory over Milligan University 7-0. The Lady Railsplitters came out with a dominant presence and took care of business on the field. The Lady Railsplitters recorded their first win of the season and did so on their home turf. The next game will take place home, Wednesday September 7 at 1pm.
