Men's Volleyball Swept by Charleston in Bristol

BRISTOL, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball team fell to Charleston (WV) in three sets (25-13, 25-13, 25-19) Wednesday at King's Student Center Complex. The loss snapped the Railsplitters' (3-4) two-match winning streak, while the win for the Golden Eagles allowed them to stay undefeated at 3-0 on the year.

Set 1: Charleston 25-18
A 5-1 Lincoln Memorial run highlighted by three Cole Campisano kills tied the score at 7-all. The Railsplitters would later take the lead at 10-9 following back-to-back terminations from Justin Sharfenaker. However, after being tied at 14-14, the Golden Eagles took 11 of the final 15 points, clinching the set on a Garret Schnitker kill. Campisano paced the Lincoln Memorial offense with six kills in the first frame.

Set 2: Charleston 25-14
After being all square at 4-4, Charleston scored four points in a row to create separation, and it would extend the advantage from there on the way to going up two sets. Johan Negron's three kills led the Railsplitters in the second set.

Set 3: Charleston 25-17
The Golden Eagles again handled Lincoln Memorial, leading by at least two points for the balance of the set after taking a 9-6 edge early and clinching the set and match on a Lachlan Bray service ace. Campisano again led the Railsplitters with three kills in the final frame.
