Jefferson City, TN – The Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team lost tonight to South Atlantic Conference foe, Carson-Newman, 3-2. LMU is now 7-9 for the season and 1-5 in the SAC.
The Eagles (8-8, 6-2) came out taking the first two sets, 25-22, 25-19. LMU would battle back taking the next two after the break, 25-23, 25-17, but would lose the final set, 15-7.
LMU's
Kristen Moehring and Carson-Newman's Julia Wheeler had 18 kills each to lead the teams with LMU's
Maggie Sanderson having five kills on six swings for a .833 attack percentage. For LMU,
Kristen Moehring posted 17 digs with
Olivia Snyder close behind with 15.
Amanda Lisi had 37 assists.
LMU had 61 digs to Carson-Newman's 69. The Eagles hit a team .144 compared to LMU's .124.
The Lady Railsplitters will play Catawba next Friday at 7pm in Mary Mars Gymnasium.
