Harrogate, TN – The Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team lost tonight to South Atlantic Conference foe, Catawba, 3-2 (25-21, 23-25, 25-22, 24-26, 17-15), in a hard-fought match. LMU is now 7-10 for the season and 1-6 in the SAC.
The Indians (6-7, 4-5) came out taking the first set, 25-21, and the teams would trade sets throughout the match with Catawba taking the final set, 17-15.
LMU's
Kristen Moehring had 19 kills to lead LMU, with
Maggie Sanderson having 13 kills on 22 swings for a .545 attack percentage. LMU's
Olivia Snyder had 22 digs on the night.
Amanda Lisi had 42 assists in the five-set match.
LMU had 67 kills on the night versus Catawba's 50 and LMU out-hit Catawba .210 to .133, but LMU had 22 service errors to the Indians 8.
The Lady Railsplitters will play Wingate tomorrow, Saturday, at 2pm in Mary Mars Gymnasium.
