Emory, VA- The Lincoln Memorial Women's Soccer team capped of their regular season play with a 3-0 win over Emory & Henry on Wednesday.Â
Carla Wilson started off the scoring for the Lady Railsplitters in the 13th minute from a
Ryan Branson assist.
Merel Houweling would deliver a corner for
Donna Van Der Zalm to add to the lead in the 29th minute. Despite more opportunities, LMU would only connect for one more score with
Ryan Branson giving her second assist in the 47th minute for
Ellie Snyder to score. The Lady Wasp attacking effort would be kept silent with solid defense and five combined saves from goalkeepers
Bente Latenstein and
Isabelle Zukaitis.Â
Lincoln Memorial improves to 8-6-3 on the season and finishes 4-4-3 in conference play. The sixth seeded Lady Railsplitters will play at third-seed Wingate for their first-round conference matchup on Saturday at 1pm.Â
