Harrogate, TN - Basketball is upon us. The sixth ranked Lincoln Memorial men's basketball team opens its season on Friday against Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, TX in the D2CCA Tip Off Classic Tournament. The Chaps finished the 22-23 campaign with a 19-12 record. The Railsplitters finished with a 30-5 record and an appearance in the NCAA DII Men's Basketball Elite 8. It was announced Thursday that the Railsplitters were picked to finish first in the South Atlantic Conference, ranked No.1, receiving 11 first place votes. The Chaps were picked to finish fourth in the Lone Star Conference this season.

It'll be a quick turnaround for Lincoln Memorial. Following Friday's season opening road game, the Railsplitters will take on the University of Illinois-Springfield on Sunday, with tip off slated for 8:30 PM.
