Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial guard Me'Kell Burries has been named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for his performances during week two of the season on the road against #23 Alabama-Huntsville and #24 West Alabama, the Conference announced on Monday.

Burries led the #6 Railsplitters to a 1-1 record last week, including a 95-90 win over #23 Alabama Huntsville, scoring a career-high 37 points, going 14-for-18 (77.8 percent) from the field with a career-high nine three-pointers made. Six of those three point shots were made consecutively. He also hauled in three rebounds with three assists in the win. Burries closed out the week with an additional four points, three rebounds, and two blocks in the Railsplitters' 75-64 loss to No. 24 West Alabama on Sunday.
