HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial men's volleyball team took a tightly contested match with Queens in four sets (21-25, 25-23, 25-23, 27-25) Friday at Mary Mars Gym. The win improved the Railsplitters' record to 8-4 while dropping Queens to 1-8.
Set 1: Queens 25-21
The visiting Royals went on a 12-5 scoring run to turn a 13-11 deficit into a 23-18 edge, and they would clinch the set on a Jack Brinkman kill.
Shay Spadaro paced Lincoln Memorial with four kills and two digs in the first frame.
Set 2: Lincoln Memorial 25-23
Queens led 6-0 early, but the Railsplitters later responded with a 5-0 rally to get back to within one point at 12-11 before taking 9 of the final 13 points to complete the comeback. Spadaro went for seven kills in the second set.
Set 3: Lincoln Memorial 25-23

Matthew Gentry highlighted a 5-0 Lincoln Memorial rally that gave the hosts a 20-16 lead before clinching the set on yet another Spadaro termination.
Cole Campisano led the Railsplitter offense with five kills in the third period.
Set 4: Lincoln Memorial 27-25
The Railsplitters got separation with a 5-0 rally to go ahead 19-14, but the Royals responded with a 7-0 streak of their own to regain a 23-21 advantage. Lincoln Memorial regrouped and won 6 of the next 8 points, clinching the set and match on a kill by
Johan Negron. Negron's four kills were a fourth set-best for the Railsplitters.
