Box Score 2 ALBERTVILLE, Ala. – The Lincoln Memorial softball team run-ruled Young Harris and Shorter on Saturday at the second day of the Charger Chillout.
The No. 20 Railsplitters (9-1) beat Young Harris in 5 innings in the first game before also taking Shorter to the cleaners 13-2 in five innings in the second game to improve to 3-1 at the event hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville.

nd innings before adding on 2 runs in the 3
rd, 3 in the 4
th and 2 in the 5
th to back starting pitcher

First baseman
Katy Pozzuto bashed two hits, while the middle infield tandem of
Sierra Hucklebee and
Sterre den Duijn drove in 2 runs each to spark the Lincoln Memorial offense.
Frost went the distance while striking out 8 and scattering 4 hits to improve to 5-0 on the season in the pitchers circle.
Game 2: Lincoln Memorial 13, Shorter 2
Lincoln Memorial put up 5 runs in the Bottom of the 1
st and cruised to another easy 5-inning win behind the bats of den Duijn and
McKenzie Henry and arm of
Victoria Conley.
Henry pounded out 2 RBI on 2 doubles and scored 2 runs, while den Duijn collected 3 hits including 2 doubles for 3 RBI and also scored twice.
Conley picked up her first win of the season in the circle, tossing the 5 innings of 2-run ball to improve to 1-0.
