NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial baseball team ran its season-opening win streak up to 8 games with a 10-0 decision over Trevecca Nazarene on Friday afternoon at Jackson Field.
The visiting Railsplitters got 5.0 shutout innings and 9 strikeouts from starting pitcher
Patrick Queener, who improved to 2-0 on the year, and hits from 9 different batters on their way to an 8-0 record.
After a trio of scoreless innings to begin the game, Lincoln Memorial put 3 runs on the board in the Top of the 4
th, as

Cameron Bowen all touched the dish with the help of errors committed by the Trojans (0-4). A

th put Lincoln Memorial up 6-0.
The Railsplitters added 3 insurance tallies in the 8

th to provide the final scoring. Lincoln Memorial scored its 10 runs on 11 hits while committing 1 error, and Trevecca Nazarene had 0 runs, 8 hits and 5 errors.
The two teams will conclude the series with a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at Noon CT (1 p.m. ET).
