@LMUWLAX Falls in Overtime Against UVA Wise

Harrogate, TN – The Lady Railsplitters were home in Harrogate this afternoon for their first game in the SAC conference. Lincoln Memorial fell to UVA Wise in over time 15-16. LMU is now 2-4 overall and 0-1 in conference.
 
In quarter 1, UVA Wise gained draw control moving the ball into Splitter territory. UVA Wise took a shot on goal but Grace Grana came up with the save. UVA Wise scored twice, Ryann Doyle came up with the draw control, leading to Jaedyn Ryba to respond with a goal. LMU gained another draw control from Ryann Doyle, moving it into Cavaliers territory. Josie Tinnerello assisted Ali Van Der Ziel with a goal to tie up the game. Camdyn Bullard gained draw control after the goal. Ryann Doyle came up with a groundball, followed by Josie Tinnerello picking up 2 more groundballs. Camdyn Bullard and Sierra Landsman assisted by Sophia Gardea both made goals to bring the Railsplitters 4-2 over UVA Wise.
 
Going into the 2nd quarter, LMU was up 4-3. Camdyn Bullard gained draw control and got it down the field for Jaedyn Ryba to take a shot on goal. Breanna Booth fired a shot past the goal keeper for LMU's 5th goal of the game. Shortly after, Ali Van Der Ziel scored another goal for LMU. UVA Wise responded with 2 goals, before Ryann Doyle scored a goal assisted by Jaedyn Ryba. Ryann Doyle scored another 2 goals, making it 3 in a row for Doyle. The quarter ended with LMU leading 9-7.
 
After the half, UVA Wise came up with the draw control and turned the ball over caused by Delaney Duck. LMU had a good clear attempt which allowed Ryann Doyle to take a shot on goal. Ana Carney scored LMU's 10th goal assisted by Kelly Csenar. Jaedyn Ryba scored another goal for the Railsplitters. Kelly Csenar had a goal putting LMU up 12-8. Ryann Doyle followed that up with her 4th goal of the game assisted by Ali Van Der Ziel. Sierra Landsman finished the quarter off with a goal assisted by Ana Carney.
 
At the start of the 4th quarter, LMU was up 14-9 over the Cavaliers. Ana Carney scored for LMU assisted by Camdyn Bullard. Sage Leax took a shot from a free position which was saved by Jordan Edwards. UVA Wise scored 6 goals in this quarter to tie it up sending the game into overtime.
 
In overtime, it was sudden death. UVA Wise gained draw control, and took a shot on goal which Keegan Gillman saved. After a timeout, UVA Wise fired a shot hitting the crossbar, causing a groundball picked up by Anna Claire on UVA Wise. Claire fired a shot, scoring for the Cavaliers, ending the game 15-16.

The Lady Railsplitters fell to UVA Wise in overtime 15-16. Lincoln Memorial will be back in action Saturday March 4, 2023 in South Carolina taking on Newberry.
