HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial softball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to No. 7 Alabama-Huntsville by 3-2 decisions on Tuesday afternoon at Dorothy Neely Field.

The Railsplitters (22-15) couldn't hold off the Chargers (23-4) who scored all 3 of their runs in the 4th inning and later in both games. Alabama-Huntsville moved up to the 7th position in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll released soon before the first game.

Game 1: Alabama-Huntsville 3, Lincoln Memorial 2

The Chargers scored single tallies in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings to get the best of the Lady Railsplitters in the opener.

Katy Pozzuto hit an RBI single in the Bottom of the 4th, and Lincoln Memorial added another run in the 7th on a Reese Vivrette RBI fielder's choice for the offense for the hosts. Emma Frost threw a complete game, while Alabama-Huntsville's Megan Shurtz (7-1) also went the distance to earn the win.
