@LMUWLAX Tops Tusculum

Greenville, TN – The Lady Railsplitters were away for their mid-week game at Tusculum. LMU defeated their rival 17-8, advancing to 6-6 overall and 2-3 in conference.
 
In period 1, Tusculum came up with the first draw control of the game. Elle Miller recorded a save and had a good clear attempt down the field. Haleigh Barnett, Ryann Doyle, and Josie Tinnerello all came out shooting on Tusculum's goal. Breanna Booth and Haleigh Barnett picked up groundballs to give their team more shooting opportunities. Kelly Csenar scored LMU's first goal. Jaedyn Ryba scored twice, once assisted by Chandler Bell. Camdyn Bullard scored a free position goal. In period 2, LMU and Tusculum were tied at 4-4 to start. Tusculum came up with the draw control, but Elle Miller had two saves on their attempts to shoot on goal. Sophia Gardea had a goal to give the Railsplitters the lead. Jaedyn Ryba scored again off a free position shot. Josie Tinnerello scored another goal for LMU. Sophia Gardea closed out the period with a free position goal.
 
After the half, Jaedyn Ryba gained draw control and assisted Ryan Doyle for a goal. Ryann Doyle then came up with the draw control moving the ball down the field, allowing Sophia Gardea to assist Kelly Csenar for her 2nd goal of the game. Ryann Doyle scored 2 more goals assisted by Jaedyn Ryba and Chandler Bell. Delaney Duck scored a goal after she caused a turnover on Tusculum. Chandler Bell scored another goal to close out the period, LMU leading 14-7. In the 4th period, Tusculum gained draw control. Jaedyn Ryba had a groundball, moved the ball down field, and scored a goal, bringing the lead to 8. Breanna Booth scored a goal assisted by Ali Van Der Ziel. Kelly Csenar scored the final goal of the game, being man down, and extending the lead to secure the win over Tusculum.
 
 
 The Lady Railsplitters defeated the Tusculum Pioneers 17-8. Lincoln Memorial will be back in action Saturday April 1, 2023, home against Lenoir-Rhyne at 1 pm.
